Good morning, Faves ☀️

Another day to wake up, thank God, and continue this thing called adulthood.

Sometimes you wake up with plenty plans, and sometimes you just wake up and say, “Let me first sit down and understand my life.

Anyway, we move.

How did you sleep, and what’s the first thing on your mind this morning?

Faves, Before we call it a night… 😊

How did your Sunday go?

Mine was a mixture of food, thoughts, little moments and just the normal hustle of life. 😂

But honestly, I’m grateful for another Sunday. ❤️

Tell me, what was the best part of your day today?
Or was it just you, your phone and your bed like me? 😂😂

Goodnight, beautiful people.

SATURDAY STORY TIME WITH OLAJUMOKE ❤️

EPISODE 1 — I DON'T STRESS MYSELF ANYMORE

Let me start this series with something about me that has changed so much over the years.

Once upon a time, if you offended me, that was it. 😂

I would stop talking to you. I would withdraw completely, and sometimes I would even replay what happened in my head over and over again.

I used to take people's actions very personally.

If someone I cared about did something that hurt me, I wanted to understand why. I wanted an explanation. I wanted to know what I had done wrong.

But somewhere along the line, I changed.

These days, when I discover that someone has done something to me, I don't necessarily cut the person off.

I can still greet you.

I can still talk to you.

If I need something from you, I will ask.

If we need to have a conversation, I will have it.

I can even laugh and relate with you normally.

But deep down, I know something has changed.

It's not that I'm pretending everything is fine. I've simply learnt not to allow what someone did to me to disturb my peace.

For example, if I notice that someone has blocked me from seeing their WhatsApp status, the old me might have taken it personally and stopped talking to that person completely. 😂

But the new me?

I'll notice it.

I'll probably laugh to myself and say, “Okay, I see you.” 😂

And I'll continue relating with you normally.

I may even block you from seeing mine too. 😌

Not because I'm angry.

Not because I want revenge.

I've simply learnt to respond to what people show me.

I've realised that people are allowed to make their choices, and I'm allowed to make mine.

I don't force closeness anymore.

I don't force loyalty.

I don't chase explanations.

I don't spend days wondering why somebody behaved a certain way.

I just take note, adjust my expectations and move on.

And honestly, I think that is one of the biggest changes in me.

I've learnt that protecting your peace doesn't always mean cutting everybody off.

Sometimes, it simply means changing the position someone occupies in your life.

You can still speak to them.

You can still be civil.

You can still wish them well.

But you don't have to give them the same access to your heart that they had before.

So these days, my philosophy is simple:

Behave how you want.

I'll react how I want.

No unnecessary stress.

No drama.

No long explanations.

I see you.
I understand you.
I adjust accordingly.
And I move on.

Maybe I've become more detached.

Maybe I've just grown.

Either way, I'm choosing my peace. ❤️

And that, my people, is today's little story about me.

Until next Saturday… 😌❤️

Good morning everyone, happy Saturday!

I’ve been thinking about something lately, and I’ve decided to make it a little Saturday tradition here. ❤️

Most of you know me as the woman behind the food, the caterer, the person always talking about cooking and business. 👩🏽‍🍳

But there’s actually a whole person behind all of that. 😌

So I thought, why not let you get to know Olajumoke a little more?

Starting from today, every Saturday, I’ll be sharing a little story about myself, something from my past, an experience, a lesson, a funny memory, or just something about me that you may not know.

Nothing too serious. Nothing too perfect.

Just my stories, my experiences and little pieces of my life.

So, welcome to Saturday Story Time with Olajumoke. ❤️

Let’s see where this takes us. 😊

Episode 1 starts today.

One of our customers once told us that our Jollof rice can last more than 24hrs without putting in the freezer, I smiled because I know the process of good party Jollof.

When it comes to making party jollof, we are number one. Our food doesn't get sour, no preservative, it's just the cooking process.
