2025 coffee recap

Letting go of LSK wasn’t easy. Not fun at all.
But letting go doesn’t mean everything about it was bad. There were good moments, lessons, and memories I truly enjoyed. I keep those, and I’ve made peace with the rest.

Travelled to Indonesia for World of Coffee. Did a bar takeover with .rsvp at .lagi , explored cafes and places around Jakarta and Bandung, drank lots of good coffee, met inspiring people. It was a really good experience and something I’m grateful for.

Started working at with my best friend, Fatin. Managing the bar, choosing coffees, doing calibrations, learning as we go. Baie is now 6 months in, and being part of the process has been both tiring and fun. Lots to share from this chapter, but maybe another time.

Had the chance to be part of this year’s Aeropress Northern Region Championship was such a fun and memorable experience!

Wrote my first coffee article. I’ve always liked writing and have done some freelance copywriting, but this was my first time writing about coffee in article form and seeing it printed. Yes, it was fun and meaningful in a quiet way.

Lots of cupping sessions, brewing, experimenting, conversations, and coffee days in between.

Rebranded Langit Senja Kopi to Lost Space Coffee and started brewing at home again, reservation only, slow bar, no fixed hours. Doing coffee for fun, without pressure, feels good.

New year wish?
To keep enjoying the process, stay curious, and do coffee in ways that feel honest and sustainable for me.

I’ve always loved coffees from Argopuro. There’s something grounding about that place in East Java, a quiet region with rich volcanic soil and farmers who work with a kind of calm dedication.
Tanahnya subur, udaranya dingin, dan kehidupan di sana bergerak perlahan, seolah setiap butir kopi diberi ruang untuk jadi dirinya sendiri.

I remember travelling in Indonesia about 3 years ago and meeting a girl at my backpacker hostel who was from Argopuro. Her family owns a small coffee farm, and she told me about how life in her hometown moves gently and steadily. The community there works closely with the land, taking their time with every part of the process.

That conversation stayed with me. Even now, whenever I taste Argopuro coffees, I can sense that same patience and care reflected in the cup.

This lot is processed anaerobic natural, bringing out bright and playful notes:
lychee, tropical fruits, strawberries, sugarcane, with a syrupy body.
Fruity, sweet, and easy to enjoy.

Kopi ini mengingatkan saya bahawa setiap perjalanan ada ritma sendiri, perlahan, jujur, dan cukup apa adanya.

Had the chance to join a sharing session yesterday with Malaysia’s Brewer and Barista Champion at .micro.roastery

I’m really glad I took the chance to be there, to meet them, taste the coffee, and learn a little more about something I’ve always loved.

Both the espresso and filter coffee left an impression. The espresso had this note that reminded me of pomegranate. Maybe it’s just me, but that was the first thing that came to mind.
The filter coffee, on the other hand, was so smooth and sweet, with a soft lingering finish. Even as the temperature dropped, the balance stayed beautifully intact.

It felt good to learn, to taste, and to reconnect with this part of myself again

Beberapa hari ini, saya perlahan-lahan membina satu ruang kecil di rumah,
sudut tenang untuk membancuh rasa dan waktu.

Juga ruang kecil untuk saya berhenti sejenak,
to brew calm and listen to the quiet between heartbeats.

The kettle hums softly,
dan aroma kopi mula memenuhi udara
warm, grounding, almost like a hug I didn’t know I needed.

Now I wonder
what beans should I try next?
Which roaster carries the kind of warmth that lingers after every cup?

Sesi cupping semalam di bersama lineup beans dari .asia Hampir 30 origin dari Ethiopia & Kenya — dari floral Yirgacheffe sampai ke fruity Maguta, setiap cawan dan rasanya yang tersendiri.

It was also my first time tasting Kenya nitrogen natural process — Maguta Nitro Jasper L2, to be exact — and it truly stood out. Clean yet complex, with that soft, winey sweetness that lingers quietly at the back of your mind.

I’ve been away for a while. Hibernating, perhaps, like coffee grounds resting before the next pour. Now I return, not with a cafe, but with a space to share stories.

Dari Langit Senja Kopi ke Lost Space Koffee. Nama mungkin berubah, tapi denyutnya masih sama. Masih LSK, masih tentang kopi, tentang rasa yang tak pernah padam walau masa berlalu perlahan.

Di sini nanti, saya akan menulis & berkongsi ~ tentang biji kopi yang menenangkan pagi, tentang alatan kopi yang menjadi temanq, tentang kafe yang saya temui di jalan yang tak dirancang. Dan mungkin juga tentang rasa rindu pada hari-hari yang pernah berbau kopi segar.

Again, this isn’t a cafe anymore, but a journal of moments, a space to share warmth, solitude, and everything that coffee quietly teaches.

Terima kasih kerana masih di sini.
