Onya Modern Asian Restaurant (since 2016 previously Golden Bowl Promenade)
We wanted to make food that is familiar and accepted by all Malaysians. Food that starts with the pestle mortar
or people call it “Batu Lesung” and in hokkien “Cheng K’u” that used to grind spices and make sambal. We always remembered the sound “tok-tok” by our grandma knocking dried shrimp paste, shallots and chilli to mak

e belacan sambal hence we wish to bring such diversity into our food!
