Jamie Scott Chef Catering events & private dinners for 2025 now availible. Weddings, birthdays & corporate events. Originally from Arbroath, Jamie Scott was born in 1987.

Inspired by his talented mother, who was the personal chef to the British Ambassador of Berlin, the first female Sous Chef in Britain and senior sous chef at the Caledonia Hotel, Jamie was in good hands and frequented the kitchen from a young age.Jamie worked at The Colliston Inn, owned by his parents for six years where he met his wife Kelly, working as a barmaid. Jamie then attended Angus Cateri

ng Collage to pursue his dream of becoming a chef. The experience “blew his mind” and Jamie was set on becoming a chef –there was no changing his mind. After graduating, he quickly followed in his mother’s footsteps becoming Sous Chef at the Byzantium, Dundee for two years. Jamie then moved to St Andrews joining the Rocca Bar & Grill restaurant where he worked for over four years.

On the menu this week, monkfish liver, which we love when we have the opportunity to get it from our amazing supplier . We cure and steam it, slice into portions and caramelise with a blow torch, served on sourdough with fermented neap. Stunning! And more ethical than foie gras with a better texture and flavour.
