Day-old chicks may look strong, but they cannot regulate their own body temperature. That means you are their source of warmth—get it right, and you’ll have healthy, fast-growing birds.
🔥 Ideal Temperature Guide:
Week 1: 32–35°C
Reduce by about 2–3°C each week
By week 5: chicks should be comfortable at room temperature
👀 Watch Their Behavior (They’ll Tell You Everything!):
Huddling together under heat → ❄️ Too cold
Staying far from heat source → 🔥 Too hot
Evenly spread, active, eating & drinking → ✅ Perfect temperature
