The recipe test is officially giving BREAKFAST!

Fresh homemade buttermilk biscuits, scrambled eggs, and sausage… because sometimes you just have to turn a recipe test into a whole meal!

And YES… I’m still talking about those biscuits!
Golden on the outside, tender and buttery, and absolutely giving “pass me the jelly!” vibes. 😋

I think this recipe deserves another round… but this time, I’m making them on purpose with the adjustments I discovered during this test! 👩🏾‍🍳

RECIPE TEST… AND WE HAVE A WINNER!

Okay y’all… I had to put this biscuit recipe to the test! 👩🏾‍🍳

I made these homemade buttermilk biscuits with just a few simple ingredients, and let me tell you… LOOK AT THEM! 😍🔥

Golden tops ✔️
Buttery layers ✔️
Fluffy inside ✔️

That homemade, Sunday-dinner kind of biscuit ✔️✔️✔️

And let’s just say… there was a little recipe mishap along the way 😂 I didn’t use the self-rising flour as planned and ended up using extra butter—but sometimes in the kitchen, you just roll with it!

And THIS was the result! 🙌🏾

OKAY… SO HERE I GO!

I listened to all your suggestions, took my Autumn Goddess Apple Wine, and headed right back into the kitchen! 😂

The brioche is ready, the apples are in, and the flavors are coming together… 👀🍎

Now it’s time to see if my idea turns into the fall dessert I have in my head!

MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY TRIED THE CHICKEN FEET!!!

Remember my last post when I told y’all somebody needed to be brave and try them? Wellllll… my husband J Oscar Gray Jr. took the challenge! 👀🤣

And let me tell you… he didn’t just taste it—he went in like he had something to prove! 😂🐓🦶🏾

Meanwhile, I’m over here like, “So… how was it? Are you converted now?” 🤣🤣

I still don’t eat the actual feet, but that broth? 🔥🔥🔥

Behind the Scenes at Sha Sha’s Catering

One thing about running a catering business… you have to learn how to work smarter, not just harder! 😂🙌🏾

I created this Event Preparation Form because I was tired of creating a brand-new checklist from scratch for EVERY. SINGLE. EVENT. 😩

And once I started doing food vending at JBMDL Fort Dix, I knew I needed a better system. With everything that goes into preparing for an event — menus, desserts, supplies, equipment, quantities, setup and more — I needed something that would help me stay organized and cut down the time I spend preparing for each event.

So I created my own reusable Event Preparation Form & Checklist! 📝✨

Now I can simply plug in the event details, build my menu, list what I need, check off my supplies and equipment, and keep everything in one place.

Work smarter. Stay organized. Save time. Be prepared. ✨

Okay, I need your creative minds on this one!

My sister and niece recently attended a winery event in Shamong and came across this bottle of Autumn Goddess Apple Wine—and they brought it home with ME in mind! 😂❤️

They know I love exploring unique ingredients and turning them into something delicious, so of course my first thought was:

“Hmmm…what can I create with this?”

With fall approaching, I already have an idea brewing for a delicious fall-season dessert using this wine… but before I reveal what I’m thinking, I want to hear from YOU! 🤔
