Since 1798, Highland Park has been producing its single malt in Kirkwall, the main settlement of the Orkney Islands. It is a name that whisky enthusiasts know very well, also because Kirkwall is still used today by some independent bottlers as an alternative name for Highland Park. This generally happens when, due to trademark restrictions or the practice of teaspooning (the addition of a very small amount of another single malt), it is not possible to display the distillery’s name on the label. For many whisky lovers, therefore, “Kirkwall” has become synonymous with an “undisclosed” Highland Park.

The new Highland Park 12 comes in a completely redesigned bottle. The design is more elegant and contemporary, with clean lines, a sleek glass shape, and the distillery’s emblem embossed on the front. The label, simple yet refined, highlights the Highland Park name, the 12-year maturation, and the connection with the Orkney Islands, allowing the whisky itself — rather than marketing — to tell its story.
Tasting Notes:
👃 Nose
Heather honey, orange zest, vanilla, baked apple, and dried fruit intertwine with a delicate, gently smoky peat character.

👅 Palate
Smooth and perfectly balanced. Notes of honey, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, and milk chocolate emerge, accompanied by an elegant peatiness that is never overpowering.

🥃 Finish
Long and harmonious, with hints of sweet spices, oak, candied citrus, and a pleasant, lightly smoky trail.
