Regarding my food truck stolen in Maltacraz: for those who don't know the sad story, please visit my profile where you can find the first part.
Dear Maltese people, I am aware that I will likely never recover my stolen work vehicle, but being someone who does not easily give up, I will continue to make posts. Firstly, to update all those who have offered words of comfort and solidarity, and secondly, because I want to make known how disgracefully the Maltese police and Minister Byron Camilleri, Malta's Minister for Security, have behaved—who, without any shame, has blocked me to avoid being tagged.
I don't expect the Minister to personally conduct the investigation, but at the very least, he could engage with the police to review all street cameras at the entrances and exits of Vjal L-Indipendenza in Mosta. Instead, he merely wrote that I would be contacted by the police, which never happened. You should be ashamed of yourself, Minister. You and those who voted for you to hold the position you occupy should be ashamed.
The police's incompetence and inability to conduct investigations is evident when they ask me, the "victim," to indicate which cameras they should review. So I wonder: are they incapable or simply indifferent? I would say a mixture of both. In the investigation, I have certainly taken more steps from Italy than they have on the ground.
I write all this to bring this shameful story to everyone's attention, partly as an outlet for my frustration and partly because I want to expose all the authorities who cover up Maltese wrongdoings with a layer of deceit—authorities who are adept at covering for each other, burying evidence and scandals. Among the most despicable examples is the story of poor Dafne Caruana Galizia, who still awaits justice and perhaps never will receive it. These people have tarnished Malta's image in everyone's eyes.
Malta has become racist and exploitative, and there is a great sense of ingratitude toward those who have invested in and contributed to its growth and wealth. Personally, I believe that racism is the highest form of ignorance.
I will keep you updated and truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many messages of solidarity I have received. I wish you all a peaceful Easter. If you wish to share my story, I would appreciate it—please do so if, like me, you would never want to hear about disgraceful incidents like what happened to me. Work vehicles should be off-limits! Anyone who steals them lacks dignity and honor.
Happy Easter to everyone,
