Vaikasi Menu Launch | Chettinad Silk Route ✨

The new Tamil month begins with a new menu.
This Vaikasi, our theme is Chettinad Silk Route -
taking rooted Chettinad flavours and weaving them gently with contemporary touches.

A menu where tradition travels a little further.

Some of the new additions this month:
• Black Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk
• Mini Appam with Naattu Sakkarai Thengai P**l
• Idimi tossed with Chicken / Vegetarian version
• Vendhaya Kuzhambu
• Capsicum versions of Kalam & Chicken

Familiar flavours, reworked with curiosity — while still staying close to the roots.

Even the menu design carries the mood of Vaikasi
with parrot and mango illustrations, bringing in the warmth and colour of summer.

Came for the food, stayed for the vibes…
and somehow the ambiance got so good that “just 5 more minutes” turned into the staff politely hinting it’s closing time… twice 😌🍽️

At this point, we’re not just guests we’re unofficially part of the last shift.

Panguni nights call for bold flavours and soulful feasts ✨

This season, our menu is a celebration on a plate from the spicy crunch of baby corn milagu varuval to the irresistible fish tawa fry, the wholesome goodness of segappu arisi dosa, and the crowd-favourite pichu potta parotta that you simply can’t stop pulling apart.

Come hungry, leave happy because Panguni is best celebrated one delicious bite at a time 🍽️🔥

While we offer a thoughtfully curated fixed menu each month, we’re always happy to accommodate a touch of personal preference and customization.

That said, we highly recommend sticking to the menu after all, our chefs have already poured their hearts (and a little extra love) into crafting an experience that’s just right for you.

Panguni Menu — Roots Reworked 🌾

At Chettinad Canteen, every Tamil month inspires a new menu.
This Panguni, we stayed close to our roots—but chose to rework them with a contemporary touch.

Our kitchen went back to tradition and brought forward familiar flavours like Vengaya Arisi Urundai, Kozhukattai, Kola Urundai, Keema, Mochai Mandi, and Kandarappam.

But this time, they arrive with a twist.

Kandarappam meets hot chocolate.
Keema pairs with chalna and pichu potta parotta.
Kozhukattai joins hands with raw mango chicken pirattal.

The roots remain the same.
The experience is reimagined.
