Bespoke, artisanal, baked goodies! Dips and Preserves... We are Homebakers, baking to order since 2011. Ours is a little family endeavour.

Our orders come from word-of-happy-mouth. We bake cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, for all occasions. Meals are made special with our muffins and crumpets, and all kinds of artisanal breads. And tangified with our own dips and spreads. All our products are eggless by default. But they can also be vegan, sugar-free, or eggy, on request. In all humility, we can bake almost anything. nts to our bakes are TIME and EFFORT. We don’t use mixes, frozen doughs or anything that is “instant”. Everything is made to order, on site, mindfully from ground-up using fresh raw materials. We are constantly researching the latest trends, themes, and techniques. We think nothing of going the extra mile (or three) to give you food that will delight you both visually, and in flavour. Still, we have always met deadlines. Our recent product innovations include bakes customized for convalescents and weight-watchers, with extra calcium, iron or protein. We also make cakes and chews for pets, taking care to use only ingredients that are not harmful to them. We take great pride in what we do.

It’s December again—Christmas, carols, Claus, and of course… CAKES🎄✨

For 40 years, our family has kept up the tradition of baking rum-soaked fruit and nut cakes using my mother’s recipe.

More than 18 varieties of premium fruits and nuts (no tutti-frutti or fake essences) have been soaking in rum for over three months, and it’s finally time to bake.

If you enjoy your fruit cakes well-matured and 'fed', this is the moment to place your order.

You can keep it classic (a plain loaf or round) or customise your cake (with glaze or marzipan). We also have a limited number of gift tins available.

And yes, there’s a non-alcoholic version too.

BSE in BSE!!
How cool is it that our cake of the iconic BSEIndia building should be featured inside the very building it was modeled on! Here seen in the hallowed Rotunda trading ring, with a backdrop of the auspicious “Opening Bell” gong.

With just 36 hrs to execute, we spend the first 4 looking at 100s of pictures, increasingly horrified at not finding perfect public images of a full frontal or 360* perspective, combining entry levels, the soaring tower and the unique Rotunda. Possibly because BSEIndia‘s is 29 floors high, and located in the congested heart of Mumbai’s financial district. So getting that perspective was impossible. (But there is hope now. Because there are drone cameras now :-) ) And no one seems to have attempted this in a cake earlier, because we didn't find any cake pictures either.

Having no choice but to do it ourselves, 10 hours are spent integrating perspectives from multiple images, making drawings and mock-ups, calculating angles and proportions, weight and balance, colours and effects. Followed by 20 odd-hours of non-stop baking. As always, we sweated the small stuff; it's important for us to get it right.

Also hugely chuffed at probably being the first in the world to make a documented model of BSEIndia‘s !

Chocolate and Hazelnuts, layered with Salted Caramel filling. 6kg. Are we happy with a fully edible model of the Bombay Stock Exchange Tower? Yes. Could we have done better, given more time? Definitely!
