It's Flammkuechen Friday @ No.14!
Come and try something new and enjoy the Take the Stage event which is part of this year's Culture Night.

Flammkuechen or Tartes Flambées originate from the Alsace region and are also very popular over the border in southwestern Germany and Switzerland. Originally used by bakers to test their morning ovens, they are a yeast-free flatbread base topped with nutmeg-infused crème fraîche, soft white onions, smoked bacon lardons and freshly chopped chives. Much lighter than a pizza, they are the perfect accompaniment to a fresh glass of white w**e - maybe a Riesling - or a cold glass of b**r or ale.

Local performers, writers and creatives are invited to showcase their talents at No.14 this Culture Night, celebrating an evening filled with music, poetry, comedy, and storytelling.
The open mic night will take place this Friday, September
18th, as part of Culture Night 2026.
The event will run from 19:00 until late and promises to be an enjoyable night of entertainment, featuring local musicians, poets, storytellers, comedians, and spoken- word performers.
If you’ve never participated in an open mic before, the organisers warmly welcome newcomers. This event guarantees a safe and supportive environment for artists to present their work. No sign-up required and every performer will get a complimentary
drink for their efforts.
Whether you choose to take the stage or simply enjoy the performances, the evening will offer a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, have a chat and experience the best
that Kerry artists have to offer.

IRISH COMEDY FAVOURITE EDWIN SAMMON HEADLINES NO. 14 IN TRALEE

Top Irish stand-up comedian Edwin Sammon is set to bring his acclaimed live show to No. 14 Princes Quay, Tralee, on Saturday, 12th September. Promising an evening of eclectic observations, witticisms and surrealist comedy, the show will be hosted by local comedian Ronan Grace.

Edwin Sammon has established himself as one of Ireland’s premier comedic talents since winning the prestigious Tedfest Best Comedian award in 2011. A familiar face on screen and stage, Sammon is widely known for his starring role as Fr. Gabriel in the IFTA-winning television series Bridget & Eamon and for co-presenting the news desk on RTÉ’s Republic of Telly.

Beyond his television success, Sammon has supported comedy giants including Jason Byrne, Ardal O’Hanlon, and Deirdre O’Kane on their national tours. He hit the road in 2013 with the sold-out Lads of Comedy tour before embarking on his candid and wildly popular solo tour, Edwin Sammon Vs Cancer, in 2015. His extensive live performance credits span top venues and festivals across the country and abroad, including Vicar Street, Electric Picnic, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Hosting duties for the evening will be handled by Ronan Grace, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere at one of Tralee’s staple live entertainment venues. Support on the night will come from some very special guests from established comics to local up and coming talent.
