It was a pleasure to welcome Shawn from and to Daata.

Shawn travels the world sharing the stories behind some of the most exciting restaurants, and our founder Saleem was honoured to sit down with him to discuss his 35-year journey in the hospitality industry.

From arriving in Ireland with a dream to opening our first small takeaway in Bray in 1999, Saleem’s passion for food and hospitality has helped grow Daata into six restaurants across Dublin and Wicklow, serving hundreds of thousands of guests every year.
