We would like to extend our sincere thanks to John and Susan Magnier of Coolmore for their incredibly generous gift to the Community Café.
Their kind offer to paint the exterior of the café is a wonderful gesture of support for our community, and one that we are truly grateful to receive.
We very much appreciate their generosity and thoughtfulness.
Thank you, John and Susan, for your very kind gift to the Community Café.

We are so proud of what the Community Café has achieved and of the wonderful place it has become for our community..
We will post a picture when the painting is completed next week.

FETHARD’S LOCAL HERO – VINCENT CUMMINS ❤️
Sometimes the people who make the biggest difference are the ones who never ask for recognition.
We would like to nominate Vincent Cummins for Local Hero in the Tipp FM Awards — because we can’t think of anyone more deserving.
At the crack of dawn, and sometimes long after darkness has fallen, Vincent and his faithful dog Archie can be seen walking the streets of Fethard, picking up rubbish and doing his bit to keep our town looking its best. 🐾❤️
But Vincent’s kindness doesn’t stop there.
He has a kind word and a friendly smile for everyone he meets. And something many people may not know is that when Vincent finds recyclable bottles on his walks, he brings them to the bottle recycling machine in Centra and chooses to donate the money to cancer charities. 💚
He does all of this quietly, simply because he cares — about his town, about his community and about other people.
That, to us, is what being a local hero is all about.
We don’t normally put posts like this on the Community Café page unless they’re café-related, but on this occasion we’re making an exception. We really feel Vincent deserves to be recognised for everything he does for Fethard.
🌟 So please, let’s get behind Vincent and Archie! 🌟
If you’re sharing the voting link, please make sure you tell people that they need to follow the link and vote for Vincent in the “Local Hero” category.
Please share, spread the word and let’s show Vincent just how much his quiet acts of kindness mean to our community. ❤️
Vincent is part of the CE scheme in Fethard.
Good luck Vincent — and Archie too!

🎉🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR WONDERFUL DI! 🎂🎉
Today we’re celebrating the lovely Annette — or “Di”, as she’s very fondly known to us! 💕

She’s the lady who somehow manages to make everything at the Community Café look completely effortless… although we’re pretty sure there’s a LOT of hard work, kindness and a fair bit of magic going on behind the scenes! ✨😂

Di gives up her time so willingly and always makes every single customer feel special. She has a wonderful way of turning customers into friends, and her warmth, humour and big personality are such a huge part of what makes our café the special place it is. ☕️❤️

We really do appreciate everything you do, Di. You are an absolute gem and we’re so lucky to have you! 🥰

And now for the important bit… 🎂👀

We were reliably informed that our birthday girl is rather partial to a gluten-free Colin the Caterpillar cake! 🐛😂

So, obviously, when we heard that information, we knew exactly what had to be done… COLIN WAS COMING TO THE CAFÉ! 🐛🎉

Because nothing says Happy Birthday, Di quite like a gluten-free chocolate caterpillar! 😂❤️

We hope you have the most fabulous birthday and get thoroughly spoiled — you absolutely deserve it!

Happy Birthday, Annette/Di! 🥳💕
Lots of love from everyone at the Community Café ☕️❤️🎂🐛

🇺🇸❤️ What an amazing story — and a wonderful visit to our café today! ☕️
We were delighted to welcome Nancy O’Grady and her husband Lyell, Nancy’s sister Colleen O’Grady and her husband John, along with their brother Tom and his wife Donna — all the way from the USA! 🇺🇸
The family are visiting Ireland to celebrate receiving their Irish citizenship, and what makes their story even more special is their connection to Fethard. 🇮🇪
With the help of our PP, Fr. Liam, they were able to trace birth and marriage records which showed their family connection to the Sayers families of Fethard.
They met with Fr. Liam in the café today to thank him personally for all his help. It was lovely chatting with them, and you could immediately see just how incredibly proud they are of their Irish roots. 💚
They absolutely loved our café too — and they’re now following us on Facebook! 🥰
And before they left, they told our Annette that if she is ever in their neck of the woods, she is to be sure to get in touch — they’ll give her the VIP treatment after the lovely welcome she gave them here at the Community Café today! ❤️🇺🇸
We’re getting around!!! 😂❤️🇺🇸
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you all. We hope you’ll make it back to Fethard again soon.
Safe travels, Nancy, Lyell, Colleen, John, Tom and Donna — and thank you for calling in to see us! ☕️☕️

A lovely visit to our little gem today! 💛
It was a pleasure to welcome Dick Lucey, son of the late Ann and John Lucey, and his wife Maggie, who are over from the UK on holiday.

Dick has some very fond memories of Fethard and, having followed our Community Café page, was delighted to finally pop in and visit us. 🥰

It was wonderful to hear a little about those memories and to see you both enjoying our beautiful little gem.

Thank you for calling in, Dick and Maggie — we hope to see you both again soon! ☕️💛
