One of Dun Laoghaire’s oldest townhouses, Haddington House is a Grade II-listed building spread over four houses and five floors. An independent hotel, it boasts 45 en-suite bedrooms, award-winning restaurant Oliveto, parlour room, lobby bar, event spaces and a unique garden, all overlooking Dublin Bay. The original tenants were British Naval officers in the mid-1800s sent by Queen Victoria to man

age the empire's naval affairs. A ladies finishing school followed in the late-1890s (called Haddington House) before the conversion into separate hotels from the 1950s. In 2015, the team behind Oliveto took over the hotel with the firm intention to unify the four townhouses back under the original name of Haddington House.

Our mission was simple: bring these historic spaces into a new era of understated luxury while deeply respecting the original Victorian character of the House. The history of the House remains at the heart of what we do.
