We are closed today Sunday the 4th October. Just an extra wee day off for our hard working staff. Back open again on Wednesday the 7th October at 5pm. Best of luck to Nathan and Pierre. They came to us for work experience for the summer from the prestigious Hôteliers Quercy-Périgord. They were meant to go to Kerry but between a few jigs and reels 💃they ended up coming to us for their work experience. They got accommodation with a lovely lady here in Killybegs in her bnb business for the whole summer until yesterday. 👏🙌 This was their first experience in a commercial working kitchen. It was a lot of pressure in there at at times. but they made it and should be so proud of them selves. Back to school on Monday in France. 🇫🇷

So lovely to have this amazing group with us. We all had fun. Garry demonstrated making soda bread with filling and making carrageen and baileys mousse with butterscotch sauce.

It’s not every day we get a gold Olympic medal winner in our restaurant so we had to take the opportunity to congratulate her and her team Minnesota Frost. Such a phenomenal achievement & we are honoured to have her here at the Boathouse with a lovely group.

Hope she enjoys our lovely Country and everything that Ireland has to offer. 🇺🇸🇮🇪

Our town has lost a gentleman of a person. He was so supportive of both of our businesses, rooting for us to succeed, which was a testament to the type of man he was, we will never forget him for it. A true Killybegs man who loved his town & County, he welcomed all with open arms. Rest in Peace Michael. You’ll be missed from Killybegs for sure. Our deepest sympathies to all of his family & close friends.
