☕️ So… I thought it was about time you got to know the girl behind Brew Stop! 🤎

I’m Danielle, I’m 23, I live in Clonmore, Carlow, and I’m the proud owner of Brew Stop here in Hacketstown.

My journey to opening Brew Stop isn’t one I ever imagined for myself. I started school in Coláiste Eoin in Hacketstown, but halfway through 2nd year I moved to Coláiste Bhríde in Carnew. I’ve struggled with my mental health, anxiety and panic attacks for much of my life, so school was never somewhere I felt comfortable. For a long time, I had no idea what I wanted to do or where life would take me.

I worked in a few different places, but when I started working in The Little Acorn in Baltinglass, something clicked. I knew hospitality was where I was meant to be. ❤️

I opened Brew Stop just two weeks before my 22nd birthday, and somehow we’re now 1 year and 8 months in! 😭 I wanted to bring more life into Hacketstown, create somewhere people could meet, enjoy good food and coffee, and support local businesses too.

Owning Brew Stop has been one of the biggest honours of my life. I love meeting customers, having the chats, serving food from our amazing chefs and seeing coffees made with so much love. It isn’t always easy, but I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.

Winning Leinster Winner – Best Newcomer at the Irish Restaurant Awards was such a special moment. When I think back to the girl who didn’t know what she wanted to do, I never imagined I’d be standing there holding an award for a business I built myself. 🥹🏆

I’m so grateful to my parents, siblings, grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins, and of course my boyfriend William, who gave me the push I needed to take the leap and open Brew Stop. ❤️

Brew Stop means so much to me. It’s more than a café; it honestly feels like my own little baby. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, visited us, recommended us, shared our posts or simply stopped for a chat.

You’re all part of the Brew Stop story, and I hope there are many more years to come. ☕️🤎
