Rooibos is one of those teas that deserves a little more attention 🍋
It’s naturally caffeine-free - not decaffeinated - so if you avoid caffeine, are sensitive to it, or simply want something you can enjoy later in the evening, rooibos is a great one to have in the cupboard.
It’s also naturally low in tannins. Tannins are compounds found in tea that create that dry, slightly bitter or astringent feeling in your mouth, especially when tea is brewed for too long. Because rooibos contains less of them, it tends to stay smooth and easy to drink even with a longer brew.
And this Ginger Lemon blend is definitely not boring. Warm ginger, fresh lemon and naturally smooth rooibos make it such a lovely cosy cup.
How to brew it:
🍋 4–5 heaped tsp per litre
💧 100°C water
⏱️ Brew for 8–10 minutes
And because there’s no caffeine, there’s no need to save this one for the morning.
Have you tried rooibos before?
