La Kay Kafe

This summer, Lakay Kafe was able to host a job skills training for the older kids in our school program!
So far they have focused on how to make different things to sell, such as bracelets and laundry soap. They also are working on a sales project to learn how to make, budget, sell, and keep receipts while selling a refreshing snow cone type treat that we call “Fresco”.

Thank you to everyone who supports Lakay Kafe’s programs, especially the kids to school program!

If you would like to sponsor a child for this coming school year to be able to attend school, please reach out to Madison Jeune or Scott Diana Green or visit us at www.lakaykafe.org

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our first ever fundraising event for Lakay Kafe Ministries!

With your generosity we have been able to purchase 1 of the 2 motorcycles needed, as well as update the necessary equipment within the coffee shop, and that is just the start! We have a big chunk towards buying our first vehicle and will continue saving towards that as well!

We also were able to find sponsors for 3 more students in the school program!!

If you are interested in the projects going on or sponsoring a child for the upcoming school year please check out www.lakaykafe.org

Or reach out to Madison Jeune or Scott Diana Green

We are beyond grateful for the partnerships God is putting in place and can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Happy July and officially summer for all our school program kiddos! 🌞🌞🌞

Did you know that we have 34 kids that get to go to school because of sponsors in the US? Did you also know that most of those kids have brothers and sisters that aren’t yet sponsored to attend school?

On July 18th we are holding our first annual fundraising event to share all the different ways YOU can be a part of Lakay Kafe Ministries!

Do you want to sponsor a student to get to go to school?
Or maybe sponsor towards operational funds such as rent?
Or maybe even help us raise money for a car?

Come join us, enjoy some Haitian BBQ, and learn more!

The fundraiser is on July 18th at 1:30-3:30 at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church! See you there!

With just one more month of school, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the sponsors of our students this year!
We are proud to say that we have 2 students graduating this year as well!! 🎉
One would like to move on to study agriculture and the other mechanics! We can’t wait to see where God takes them next.
Thank you for supporting the education of the young people in our community through Lakay Kafe’s kids to school program!
❤️
If you’re interested in sponsoring a student for next school year please visit www.lakaykafe.org or reach out to Madison Jeune or Scott Diana Green

Happy Good Friday.
We celebrated with our kids in the school program today.
After listening to a service, we had a small Easter egg game and then passed out flats of eggs to each family! It was a great way to start the Easter weekend.

Thank you to all who support this ministry and as always feel free to check out more at www.lakaykafe.org

Do you know what happens when the next generation accepts Jesus?
Well they start to pour into the generation beneath them!
And that just might be the most beautiful thing we have seen at Lakay Kafe!
A young man in our school program recently committed his life to the Lord and turned around and asked how he can help at church. We are working on creating a children’s program within the church that meets at Lakay Kafe on Sundays and this guy has jumped right in to help!
Thank you Lord for your faithfulness and love for us all!
