Good day everyone. Yesterday was another beautiful day with lots of sun and the needle on the old thermometer got to about 91°F (32.8°C). Today looks like more of the same with a bit lighter trade winds and lots of sun. Looks like another beautiful day in the Caribbean.

Today we have the Star of the Seas (max. 7,600 passengers per Wikipedia) and the MSC Seascape (max. 5,877 passengers per Wikipedia) at the Port of Roatan as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

The Carnival Celebration (max. 6,500 passengers per Wikipedia) and the Carnival Liberty (max. 2,794 passengers per Wikipedia) are also at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was another hot day with a pretty good breeze and the needle on the old thermometer got to about 91°F(32.8°C). Today looks like more of the same with our typical trade winds and lots of sun. It looks like another beautiful day here in the Caribbean.

Today we have the Symphony of the Seas (max. 6,680 passengers per Wikipedia) at the Port of Roatan as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

The Carnival Jubilee (max. 6,631 passengers per Wikipedia) and the Regal Princess (max. 4,250 passengers per Wikipedia) are at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was more of the same with sun, hot and breezy with the needle on the old thermometer getting to about 90°F (32.2°C). Today there is a little more haze from the smoke from the mainland crops burning and a pretty good breeze that is blowing it in. It does look like it will be another hot and sunny day here in the Caribbean.

Today we have the Enchantment of the Seas (max. 2,446 passengers per Wikipedia) at the Port of Roatan as you can see in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

There are no ships at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Today looks much the same, breezy with less haze and lots of sun. It looks like another beautiful day in the Caribbean.

There are also no ships at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

May 18, 2026: Good morning Bay Islands. Our air quality numbers on the northeast coast of the mainland are good, which means good visibility for us today. We continue to have no chance of rain and very little chance of clouds in the forecast. Trade winds will continue strong, 20 mph and 4 foot seas daytime and 25 mph and 5 foot overnights. We will calm slightly Thursday and Friday, but only to 15 mph.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was another hot sunny day here with the needle on the old thermometer getting to about 93°F (33.9°C). Today we are hazy, sunny, breezy and hot again. It should be another beautiful day in the Caribbean.

There are no ships at the Port of Roatan today as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan. You can see that the Seas are a bit rough as there is a smaller vessel head towards Coxen Hole making quite the wake.

There are also no ships at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Today is much the same as the needle is already higher than usual for this time of day. We have quite a bit of haze from the smoke from the burning fields on the mainland today. Should still be a hot and sunny day here in the Caribbean.

May 16, 2026 Good morning Bay Islands. We have the most smoke we’ve had for awhile. The air quality numbers aren’t the worst we’ve seen, but the fire is in a very bad place for us. The bad news is we have some major wind starting this evening that can fuel the fires. More in comments.
