September 25, 2026: Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day is a gorgeous cloud formation off Utila from Brad Ryon. On Wednesday, Utila experienced quite the storm, getting between 4 and 5 inches in a two hour period midday. Fortunately they've been dry since. Yesterday many locations on Roatan got up to a half an inch of rain. Our forecast is going to get drier over the next few days. More in comments.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was another cooler day with more rain and the needle on the old thermometer only got to about 79°F (26.1°C). Today there is less gray skies, more blue skies with some clouds but it is already warmer than the last couple days. It looks like another beautiful day here in the Caribbean.

There are no ships at the Port of Roatan today as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

There are also no ships at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was a cooler and rainy day than usual. It was actually kind of refreshing and relaxing to listen to the rain, the needle on the old thermometer only got to about 79°F (26.1°C). Today is not as overcast and a few rain showers off and on. It currently doesn't look as overcast as yesterday so hopefully the sun can break through. Either way it is still a nice, warm beautiful day here in the Caribbean.

The Star of the Seas (max. 7,600 passengers per Wikipedia) and the MSC Seascape (max 5,877 passengers per Wikipedia) are at the Port of Roatan today as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

There are no ships at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was another warm day with a mix of sun and clouds and the needle on the old thermometer getting to about 89°F (31.7 °C). Today we have had thunderstorms around most of the morning and light rain with periods of heavy rain. There is some blue sky around, maybe the sun can burn through. Still a beautiful and warm day here in the Caribbean.

Today we have the Symphony of the Seas (max. 6,680 passengers per Wikipedia) at the Port of Roatan as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

The Carnival Liberty (max. 2,794 passengers per Wikipedia) and the Carnival Mardi Gras (max. 6,500 passengers per Wikipedia) are also at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.

September 22, 2026: Good morning Bay Islands. Our photo of the day comes from the web cam at Coco View, showing even on the normally wavy southside of the island, that we look more like a pond than a sea. These quite calm conditions will last at least through Thursday and perhaps through Friday before winds pick up a bit for the weekend. This is one of the reasons I always recommend this time of year as the best to visit the islands. If you want to snorkel all the reefs and not just West Bay, you can go anywhere around our islands and swim to your hearts content without being jostled by waves. And you only have to dodge the occasional shower. More on that in comments.

Good day everyone. Yesterday was another little bit cooler day with some rain but not a lot. There was a lot of clouds, the needle on the old thermometer only got to 87°F (30.6°C). Today we have a mix of sun and clouds and light tradewinds. It should be another beautiful day here in the Caribbean.

There are no ships at the Port of Roatan today as seen in the photos taken just now from Uno Mas Roatan.

The Carnival Dream (max. 3,646 passengers per Wikipedia) and the Regal Princess (max. 4,250 passengers per Princesscruises.com) are at the Isla Tropicale (Mahogany Bay) Port today.
