I grew up eating these “Chinese churros”- crispy, soft, savory all in one AND I just learnt the history behind it: Some villagers back then, fed up with the treacherous Qin Hui and his wife who schemed to kill Yue Fei, the loyal General, shaped the dough into a pair and fried it to vent their anger.
I used to just throw the leftovers but I started thinking: how can I make them taste good even after a night in the fridge?
