January is always our quietest month! 😭 Although we hate being quieter, it does give us some thinking time to anticipate and plan the summer season ahead of us!

I can’t help but feel a mixture of nerves and excitement for the year ahead! We order new stock all year round but we’re starting to ramp up on orders already to get the shop looking tip top! (Keep an eye on our socials as it’s my New Year’s resolution to pull my finger out and really get a handle on the social media side of the business).

A million questions always run around my head at this time of year! Will we be busy? Will we have a sunny summer? How many staff is the right amount of staff? Do we have the right suppliers and stock on the shelves? What should go on the summer menu? When should opening hours change? What needs servicing, maintenance or repairing ahead of the summer? Can we change utility suppliers to save any money? I could go on but I won’t bore you with my brain farts! 😂😂

The ‘calm before the storm’ is quieter in the business but the cogs are always ticking, trying to bring you the best experience possible whatever time of year you visit us!

To any other businesses in seasonal trade, (especially those local to us in Northumberland! 🩷) We feel ya! We’re all in it together!

We will be sad to see this lovely shop close, if you are in Wooler you need to grab a bargain before they close for good. ☹️

We truly hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! 🤍

The New Year has already brought some big decisions for myself and my family as we look ahead to our next chapter.

With that in mind, I have made the difficult decision to close the shop at the end of January.

This is not a decision I have taken lightly after lovingly building the business for almost 10 years, but one that has become necessary as priorities shift and life changes.

Over the next few weeks, I will be selling everything off at heavily discounted prices, so please do pop in and grab a bargain.

If you have any gift vouchers, please remember to redeem them before the end of January, as they will no longer be valid after we close.
