We were delighted to attend the mayors ‘Bingo and Prosecco’ charity event. What a wonderfully fun evening it was. Such an amazing raffle too. No wins there, but we did have a full house and look forward to spending our The Horseshoes Witney £40 of vouchers.
Tunes in the Square was also taking place out the front, with an amazing turn out.
We finished the evening catching the end of Cody The Last Rock n Rollers gig at The Venue Witney

Popular Pez are back in stock, with lots to choose from.
Pez began their lives as peppermints with Pez coming from the German word for peppermint. We were talking about the Pez we had in our childhoods. Debbie had an Indian chief and Krazy Kim had an elephant.
We remember this, as we didn’t have very much in those days!! 🤣

It now seems quite a way off, but here are the latest of our World Cup winners, collecting their prizes.
First up, Etta McPherson, manager of Spain who collected the letter for 52 free shakes.
Jeff Moss, picked up a prize for being the closest guesser in Englands last game. Jeff tried to run away with our hat, but was chased down the street! We’ll need that for the Euros!
Seb Stares, who was so close with England, collected a runner up pouch of sweets. Wonder if he shared them!?

Good luck to Skatterlings Of Africa and Roots & Stone, two new eateries, adding to the wonderful choice we already have in Witney. Skatterlings is located in Waterloo walk and serves up South African flavours and drinks. Looks a very bright and colourful place. Roots and Stone is serving up
salad bowls and jacket potatoes. We all love a good old jacket potato! They are down the High Street, where the mobility centre was.
We haven’t visited either yet but look forward to doing so. Best of luck to you both.

We have been predicting this announcement, following limited availability at the wholesalers.
After the tragic discontinuation of coconut mushrooms, liquorice wands now follow 😞

Sorry, a rant forthcoming.
Delivery drivers are continually saying they have ‘missed us’.
No they haven’t! We are an open business.
They just cannot be bothered to tackle the hassle of the High Street (and we kind of get that).
So not only are we losing trade due to the roadworks, we are also losing money on products.
If you’ve been in, you will see we are using dome lids on all the shakes. This is because the less expensive flat lids have just gone down the road until Tuesday!
Along with the chocolate order. So to avoid disappointing you, we will have to source elsewhere, at a cost, for weekend shakes or damage our reputation by being out of stock.
On Wednesday our large weekly delivery of mix and milk could not get down the High Street, as there was a massive works vehicle parked opposite. We had to do a frantic rush to the cash and carry or we would not have been able to open our shop the next day. We did not really have enough staff to do this costly exercise but had no choice.
We are trying to run a happy, positive shop but those that know better are not making it easy for us.

Thank you to everyone that popped in for a pud this evening.If you missed out, we still have some late openings to come. The next one is on Friday August 7th.
When we left at 8pm, Witney Market Square was absolutely buzzing. We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful town.
Last night we also popped along to ‘Live at the Leys’, another lovely family event.
Check out the dates and make the most of this lovely weather.
