The Sawmill cafe and farm shop is proudly based on a real working farm, where farming is at the heart of everything we do. We are especially proud of our beautiful flock of Herdwick sheep, which have recently been sheared and are now happily back grazing on the stunning fells surrounding Wasdale. 🐑

Life on the farm and life in the cafe go hand in hand. When we’re not busy serving delicious food and welcoming our wonderful customers, you’ll often find members of our team helping out with the day to day work on the farm. It’s this close connection to the land, our animals, and our local community that makes The Sawmill cafe & farm shop such a special place to visit. 🐑

We’re proud to support local producers and showcase the fantastic products they create, alongside our own Herdwick lamb, reared right here on our farm. 🐑
