❤️ A little update from us…

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a confirmed date for when we’ll be able to reopen the doors.

I know this has been frustrating and disappointing for so many of you, and honestly, it’s been just as difficult for me. I’m desperate to get back behind that bar, see all your lovely faces and get the pub feeling like home again.

We’re still waiting for the necessary work to be completed and, as much as I’d love to give you a date, I don’t want to promise something that we can’t guarantee.

As soon as I have a confirmed reopening date, you’ll be the first to know. ❤️

Thank you so much for all your patience, messages, support and understanding while we get through this. It genuinely means more than you know.

From myself, Brad and the team we can only apologise about the huge inconvenience and we cannot wait to welcome you all back through our doors once again.
Hopefully it won’t be too much longer now… 🤞🍻

❤️ A little update from us…

We are so sorry to say that we are still closed at the moment while we get the electrical issues at the pub sorted.

I know it’s frustrating, especially for those of you who were looking forward to coming in, and I honestly can’t apologise enough for the inconvenience. Believe me, we are all just as eager as all of you to get those doors back open! 🥺

Unfortunately, we don’t have a confirmed opening date just yet, and we don’t want to give you a date until we know for certain that we can open safely and properly.

As soon as we have an update, you’ll be the first to know. ❤️

Thank you so much for bearing with us and for all your lovely messages and continued support. It really does mean the world, especially at times like this.

We are absolutely gutted to announce that due to a further inspection on the electrics we have been told that the building is not safe and we can’t open to the public.
We are trying our upmost hardest to get this issue sorted as quickly as possible.
We are absolutely gutted to have to be closing our doors once again🥺
We can only apologise again for the inconvenience and we are hoping we can get these issues fixed and resolved as quickly as possible ☹️

We have used our time wisely and have had a little refresh of the pub. Just in time for next weeks big new addition to the pub… A POOL TABLE 🎱🤩

We unfortunately had an electrical fire in the kitchen in our accommodation above the pub late last night.
Nobody was hurt and the damage is limited.
We are all safe however, all of the electric cut out and we have no power to over half of the building.
We are not allowed to open until we have had a qualified engineer out to inspect all the electrics in the building.
We are hoping this issue will be sorted today and we can re-open and have you all back in our amazing pub tomorrow!
Thank-you for your understanding and patience and we are so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Monday already?! 😅🍻

We have an exciting announcement regarding last weeks guest ale…
The Hawkestone x Butcombe - Hops & Glory will be back on Wednesday and we have stocked up with two barrels for you all to enjoy!

We are however still introducing a new ale this week… We have Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Dark - 4.3%. This will be in replacement to Butcombe for the meantime while we have the Hops & Glory on.

We also have a few new additions this week!
Introducing Erdinger in bottles the German l***r at 5.3%!

We have a new rhubarb and ginger gin 🍸
We have a new pumpkin coffee syrup ☕️🎃

If you’re looking for somewhere to escape the Monday blues, pop down and see us! ❤️

Our lunch menu is on, the main menu is running too, and there’s plenty of cold drinks waiting at the bar 🍺🍷

Nothing better than a proper Sunday roast, a few drinks and a nice chilled afternoon at the pub ❤️

We’ve got our Sunday menu running from 12–6, with roast beef, chicken and pork, plus plenty of other choices if a roast isn’t your thing!

We have the freshest and best joints of beef and pork from our amazing village farm Meat Matters - Di and the team have once again supplied us with the most incredible joints 😍 even our yorkies this week were made with the eggs from the farm 😍

💡QUIZ NIGHT 💡- Starting at 7:30 we have our quiz night - £3 cash per person and teams up to 6.
