Kerrera Tea Garden & Bunkhouse

Set in a stunning location near Gylen Castle on the Isle of Kerrera, the Tea Garden and Bunkhouse is the perfect place to enjoy a nice cup of tea!

We are open from April to September and the menu includes delicious homemade cakes, soups and breads with daily specials. Should you wish to stay longer (and we believe you will!)- the Bunkhouse has beds for 7-9 people. We also have a beautiful Mongolian Yurt available, complete with woodburning stove that is perfect for couples. New owners, Martin Shields and Aideen Gallagher were delighted to take over the reins in January 2013. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any enquiries.

It is indeed a lovely day trip from Oban! Especially when the sun is shining and the island is looking glorious… it’s such a delight to see the lambs and bunnies jumping about in the fresh green fields! Great time of year to visit 🌊⛴️🦋🐏🌸🐄🐑🐓☕️🍰🌳🌱🏰🐂😁

Spring is in the air! We’re getting ready to open for the 2026 season on 1st April 😁

What a glorious last day of our 2025 season!!! Glorious sunshine, lovely customers, amazing staff team- and lots of impressive triathletes! Well done to you all! We’ll be closing 3pm today (the team are off to Oban to enjoy a trad music session! 🎶)

Huge thanks to everyone who came to the Kerrera Tea Garden this year- and if you didn’t make it, we hope you can join us next year! We’ll be back in operation at the start of April 2026 🫖🍰
