Babbacombe Beach Cafe was due to open on May 1 but the doors are currently closed

⚠️ Please Read - Good News! ⚠️

As many of you know sadly whilst we had the cafe two men were recovered from the water unresponsive and later passed away in babbacombe bay.

We rushed to help as much as we could as the RNLI Teignmouth brought the casualty’s to the pier and Torbay Coastguard Rescue Team arrived on scene to perform CPR with paramedics and air ambulance following. 🚁

We had been informed there was a defibrillator at the bottom of the hill for emergencies.
But on that day when we went to use it, it was no longer in service!!!

So we gathered our amazing friends and family and raised the money for half of the cost then got match funding and we now have a fully working community funded defibrillator for the public to use when needed.

Hey Crew

We wanted to take this oportunity to let everyone know that this will very sadly be our last week at Babbacombe Beach Cafe.

As many of you know, changes in circumstance regarding the cafe and car park ownership, along with such uncertainty of the cafes future has meant it is no longer viable for us to continue growing our business at Babbacombe.

We have absolutely loved our summer here and, to our surprise, now see that the most incredible part of our adventure has been the community of people we have met through the cafe.

Our very last day trading will be Sunday 17th of Septmeber and we would love to see as many of you as possible at the cafe this week. Please bare with us as we juggle stock management for our final week. We are currently still serving hot food and will inform you if this changes. Coffee, cake and ice cream will be available all week!

We would like to take this opportunity to say an unbeliveably huge thank you for the help, support and kindness we have recieved this summer. We hope this season is just the start of our beach side adventures and please watch this space for our future plans. We will keep you all in the loop via our social media pages as things develop.
