When your restaurant sits in the middle of a vineyard, people naturally come expecting really good w**e.

And while we love great w**e, we love a great cocktail just as much.

So ours follow much the same thinking as the food at ROAM: start with great ingredients, look close to home where we can, and keep things simple enough to let them do the talking.

That means Devon Gin, TORS Vodka, Aval Dor Blackcurrant Liqueur and, of course, Sandridge Barton w**es making their way behind the bar.

There are a few new additions to the list, including a Devon 75 with Devon Gin, lime and Sandridge Barton Classic Cuvée; a South West Kir Royale with Aval Dor and Classic Cuvée; and our Dirty Gin & Tonic with Devon Gin, Navas Cornish Tonic and olive brine.

Plus the ROAM Negroni and Curator Espresso Martini, because some things are best left exactly as they are.

As our second summer at ROAM comes to an end, we’ve been thinking about just how many people have gathered around these tables over the past few months.

Long lunches, plates passed, many bottles opened and a few special events in-between.

Thank you to everyone who’s spent part of their summer with us. We’re looking forward to the shift into a new season. New ingredients to cook with, new dishes on the menu and plenty of events still to come.

We like to think we get life’s simple pleasures right here at ROAM.

Cantaloupe melon with Jamón Ibérico has been a staple on the menu throughout summer. Sweet, salty, and not much need to mess with it.

A tomato lover’s dream.

On Saturday, we hosted our final Dine in the Vines of the summer with the wonderful

The evening began, as any tomato-themed feast should, with a Tomatini, made with vodka and finished with a few drops of

Then to the table for pan con tomate, trofie, Brixham crab with bull’s heart tomato, and to finish, tomato leaf panna cotta with poached plum.

Thank you to Sophia for making the trip down to our corner of South Devon, to everyone who joined us around the table, and to all the suppliers and collaborators who were part of it.

That’s the last Dine in the Vines for this summer but it’ll certainly be back.

We have more events coming up as we head into autumn, make sure to check back in for announcements.

This time last week, we were settling into another afternoon of what we love most.

Simple food, the very best ingredients, w**e served at the perfect temperature, and one unwritten rule: there’s no rushing here.

For the final time this summer we gather at the table among the vines.

Join us for one final Dine in the Vines on Saturday, 8th August, this time with the wonderful

Sophia is a private chef and ceramicist whose work is deeply inspired by the warmth, colour and generosity of Mediterranean cooking and gathering around the table. Every experience she creates celebrates beautiful seasonal ingredients and the joy of sharing food.

As the summer evening draws in, we’ll come together for dinner amongst the vines, with one long table set against the backdrop of the rolling Dart Valley.

For this special evening, Sophia has created a feast celebrating one of summer’s greatest ingredients: the humble tomato.

A welcome tomato-inspired cocktail and three seasonal courses showcase the ingredient at its very best.

Being based at a vineyard means two things.

One, we have amazing English w**e produced just a stone’s throw away.

Two, you’ve got a vineyard team that’s always happy to wander down and quality-control the menu.
