🎓 GCSE RESULTS DAY 💗

To everyone receiving their GCSE results today, whatever is written on that piece of paper, be proud of how far you’ve come.

Some will be celebrating. Some may not be.

You’re young. Sometimes you don’t realise how much something matters until you’re on the other side of it. Maybe today has taught you what you could have done differently, or how to pick yourself up when something doesn’t go to plan.

That lesson could prepare you for the outside world more than the grade itself.

Because when you step into the working world, a piece of paper is only part of your story.

Determination. Initiative. Communication. Confidence. Kindness. Reliability. The willingness to learn. The courage to try again when you get something wrong.

Those qualities can take you far further than grades alone ever will. 💗

Results can open doors, but the person you become, the way you communicate, how hard you work and what you do when a door closes will determine where you go next.

So celebrate the 9s. Celebrate the passes. And if today hasn't gone how you hoped, learn from it rather than let it define you.

Today is one day. Your future is much bigger.

The Pink House has always been about celebrating. 🩷 Birthdays, baby showers, engagements, catch-ups, milestones and all the happy reasons that bring people around a table.

But celebrations don’t always mean celebrating something happy.

This week, we’ve welcomed two families who have recently lost the most important person in their lives. I won’t share their stories because they’re not mine to tell, but knowing they chose The Pink House as somewhere to come together, and found even a little comfort while they were here, meant more to me than they’ll ever know🥹

I’m so proud that amongst all the pink, music, laughter and birthday songs, we can also be a safe place when life isn’t quite so happy.

Sometimes a table is for celebrating a new chapter. Sometimes it’s for remembering someone who should still be sitting at it. 🩷

Whatever brings you through our pink doors, you’re always welcome here🩷

We’ve already celebrated the cutest little 3-year-old’s birthday this morning, head-to-toe pink and honestly, the outfit was ADORABLE! 🎀🥹

Plus two more birthday girls 🎂🩷 alongside girlie catch-ups, morning breakfast dates and plenty of pink treats.

A little disappointed to receive this review, so just wanted to clarify 🩷

An empty table doesn’t always mean an available table. Our tables were reserved for guests due shortly, including larger bookings needing multiple tables together.

We genuinely hate turning people away. We love welcoming new customers, and as a new independent business, of course we need customers! We have staff, overheads and a business to run, so there is absolutely no reason we’d choose to have empty chairs if we could fill them.

But we also have to honour the bookings already made. Sometimes there’s another side to what you see, perhaps worth considering before leaving a new independent business a 1-star review 🩷

Some of our little VIPs who celebrated a spontaneous birthday with us yesterday have accidentally left their bags behind. 🩷

We even had a walk up the High Street to try and catch you, but we just missed you!

It was a group of 5 children and 2 adults. If you happened to see this or see any post photos on social media, we'd really appreciate it if you could let them know we've got their bags safe here waiting for them.
