Sea Breeze & Wildflowers
Thursday 16th July, 6:30pm
The Wayfarer, Parbold

A fresh summer sip & paint evening in full acrylics on A3 premium stretched canvas.

We’ll be painting a vibrant coastal landscape filled with sparkling turquoise sea light, grassy dunes, a sandy pathway and delicate wildflowers scattered through the foreground.

Think cerulean blue, turquoise, deep ultramarine, fresh yellow-greens, warm sandy neutrals, lilac, sea-pink and crisp white highlights.

Fully guided step-by-step by Julia from Mino Art School, so no experience is needed. Suitable for beginners onwards, with every stage demonstrated clearly.

The Wayfarer is the perfect setting for a relaxed creative evening, with beautiful countryside surroundings, gorgeous gardens, candlelight, award-winning food and drinks.

All materials provided.

We have a couple of vacancies going at The Wayfarer to join our wonderful team!

We're looking for some Waiting On Staff to join our Front of House team. Previous experience preferred but not required. To apply, email your CV to [email protected]

Father's Day is fast approaching and we'll be sharing some special dishes from the menu between now and the big day, starting (as you rarely do) with some desserts.

Our Flaming June Highland Cow was originally planned for 17th June, but due to a diary clash with a corporate event🤦‍♀️, we’ve had to move it to:

All existing tickets have been transferred to the new date, so don’t worry, your places are reserved! If the new date doesn’t suit, of course a full refund can be arranged.

There are still tickets available, so come and join us for our blooming gorgeous Highland cow painting night.

Fully guided, no experience needed, no freehand drawing required, and plenty of freedom to add your own colour, florals and personality. We always get absolutely beautiful results with this one, the kind of painting you’ll be proud to take home.

“Where flowers bloom so does hope.” - Lady Bird Johnson

Whether in The Gardens, Ceremony Room, and Restaurant of Ashfield House; or in the beer garden and dining rooms of The Wayfarer, we love using flowers to bring colour and comfort to our spaces.

These flowers were picked from our garden last week by our resident gardener Phil (Just The Place To Grow) and brought inside in The Wayfarer. But what happens next?

The first flower is Astrantia, and is destined for The Long Border at the front of Ashfield House, as well as being dried and hung up in The Original Dining Room at The Wayfarer.

The second flower is Nepeta, also known as 'Catmint', and that's also heading for The Long Border, as well as plenty of cuttings being taken as table decoration at The Wayfarer. Nepeta will also be making a continued appearance in The Wayfarer beer garden over the summer months as (aside from looking pretty) it's a magnet for bees and other pollinators, and helps promote biodiversity, something we're very keen on!

This June at The Wayfarer we have some chilled evening craft events and of course Father's Day where you could join us for breakfast or lunch (or both, just saying 🤷🏼‍♂️) to celebrate the man himself.
