From Best in Show to centre stage.
Following its success at the 2026 Royal Automobile Club Concours, Jaguar C-Type XKC-044 was invited to take pride of place in the Club’s Pall Mall rotunda.

Fresh from Goodwood Revival, the purposeful C-Type makes a remarkable spectacle against the grandeur of this celebrated motoring space.

XKC-044 will remain on display until 6 October.

We are delighted to announce has won a pair of Scramble tickets and will be joining us on Sunday 4th October.

She will be able to enjoy this particularly adventurous 1939 Chevrolet Master Coupe “Fangio Coupe” in the flesh. Driven by Tony Sutton and Andrew Lawson, this RPS-built and prepared Fangio Coupe won the 2026 Peking to Paris Rally. Thousands of kilometres, 12 countries and some of the toughest terrain imaginable was overcome to win this coveted prize. The vehicle has also competed in Road to Mandalay Rally, 2016 Alpine Tour, Flying Scotsman and Sahara Challenge!

Another memorable Goodwood Revival weekend.
Following Friday’s testing, the Lister-Maserati took to the circuit for Saturday’s Sussex Trophy, before the Jaguar Hansgen returned to action in Sunday morning’s Freddie March Memorial Trophy.
Results are only one part of historic racing. The real pleasure lies in seeing important competition cars being driven as intended, surrounded by the sights, sounds and atmosphere that make the Revival so special.
Our thanks to everyone involved in preparing, running and supporting both cars throughout the weekend.

Another memorable Goodwood Revival weekend.
Following Friday’s testing, the Lister-Maserati took to the circuit for Saturday’s Sussex Trophy, before the Jaguar Hansgen returned to action in Sunday morning’s Freddie March Memorial Trophy.

A fitting return to France.
We were delighted to present this remarkably original 1928 Bugatti Type 37A at the recent Chantilly Arts & Elegance Concours Richard Mille.
Having remained in a private European collection from 1971 until 2025, this year was the first time the Bugatti had been shown publicly since its time at the Henri Malartre Museum in the 1960s, so we were delighted to return it to France for the Chantilly Concours.
With just four owners from new and an exceptional degree of originality, it is regarded as one of the finest surviving examples of the Type 37A.

Small, beautiful and with rather more performance than its proportions might suggest.

In the latest issue of Classic & Sports Car, Andrew Frankel gets behind the wheel of the 1964 Abarth-Simca 2000 Corsa currently offered for sale by Pendine.

Chassis 0054 is a genuine ‘short-nose’ example with period Italian competition history stretching from hill climbs to the 1967 Targa Florio, followed by an extensive and successful career in modern historic racing.

As Andrew discovers, it’s also a car that rewards getting properly acquainted.

FOR SALE: 1950 JAGUAR XK120 ALLOY

Completed in February 1950, this is one of the original 240 alloy-bodied Jaguar XK120s.

Supplied new to Belgium, with paperwork dating back to 1955, it was bought by noted racer and collector Peter Sugden in 1966 and retained by him until we bought it in 2025.

Restored in the 2000s, it runs a Sigma-built 3.8-litre engine, triple Weber carburettors, rack-and-pinion steering, and an all-synchro gearbox. This exceptionally fast, storied XK120 is blisteringly quick on road and track.

Robert Coucher famously described Veloce as “the greatest track day on Earth”.

Hosted by Damon Hill and Derek Bell at Goodwood on Wednesday 2 September, this year’s event saw Tony Purnell’s Jaguar C-Type enjoy some spirited laps in the hands of the 1996 Formula One World Champion.

Look out for next month’s issue of Octane, which tells the story of the car and the Purnell family’s quest to restore it.

Organised by Chris Bucknall and the team at V Management, Veloce brings together iconic cars and a legendary driver line-up in support of good causes, raising more than £1 million to date.
