I have a long standing theory that 3 men in a pub invented absolutely everything.

- Decorative rocks
- Velcro wallets
- Garden gnomes
- Shoes for dogs
- The rule that every barbecue requires at least one man standing next to it offering unsolicited advice

Unfortunately, it's roasting outside and I believe they have all melted.

We're now holding auditions for replacements at the Coach

Pull up a chair, grab a cold pint and tell us your best ideas.

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me why I do this.

Thank you to everyone that joined us for DadFest.

For the support, the laughter and the memories.

We're exhausted, we're grateful and we're already looking forward to doing it all again.

Our friends at Loose Cannon Brewery have just dropped off a little something for DadFest...

We'll be pouring three of their fantastic beers this Sunday 21st, along with a limited number of 5L mini kegs available to take home.

They're just over 20 minutes down the road and we are so proud to support another brilliant local business.

Good beer, good food, good company

One of the best things about being a village pub is being surrounded by brilliant local people.

Take Jonny and Zoë,

They spend their spare time looking after many, many bees and somehow persuade them to work together and produce incredible local honey.

Meanwhile, I can't persuade my dog to not wrap his lead around every table he sees and then look at me like I've ruined his day.

We are so proud to stock their honey here at the Coach.

Produced just across the road by people we're very lucky to call our neighbours.

One of the many reasons we love being a part of this community.

Meet Ruby

Ruby only started a couple weeks ago and has settled in brilliantly.

She recently convinced Barry the Chef that she had appeared on X Factor and even showed him a video as proof.

Barry wasn't convinced.

Not because Ruby would have been 2 years old when it was filmed.....but because she didn't have a northern accent.

We are delighted to have Ruby on the team.

We are slightly concerned about Barry.
