We are a small family business with a small dedicated team. We are sometimes short staffed and sometimes we have new members who are learning and giving their all ❤️kindness goes a long way.

Weekend Special Has Landed! 🤎
Looking for an excuse to pop by this weekend? We’ve got you covered! Our Tasty Texan Chicken Toasty is packed full of chicken, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, garlic mayo and tomato, all toasted together in a chunky tiger loaf. 🤤
Served with a side of chips and creamy coleslaw, it’s the perfect comfort food lunch.

✨Our Winter Menu Is Back Tomorrow!✨
With the weather starting to turn (although, summer wasn't exactly great either), we think it's about time our winter menu made its return!
We've got plenty of delicious, comforting dishes to keep you warm over the colder months, including the return of our all-time favourite Loaded Fries, which are back on the menu full-time! 🙌🍟
And that's not all… we've got a long list of exciting specials lined up, with something different making an appearance every weekend. Keep an eye on our page to see what's cooking! 👀

☕ A little update to our opening hours!
This coming Monday 24th August will be our last Monday open for the foreseeable future.
After a very busy summer season, things are beginning to quieten down a little, so we’ve decided that we will be closing again on Mondays 🤎
From Monday 31st August onwards, we will be closed every Monday for the foreseeable future.
We’ll still be here the rest of the week ready to welcome you for coffee, cake, lunch and a browse around the jewellery! ☕🍰✨

We’re bringing you a proper taste of the coast with locally caught lobster, served in a locally sourced bridge roll and packed with fresh, delicious flavour.

We love keeping things close to home, using fantastic local produce wherever we can and this one is a real celebration of what’s right on our doorstep. 🦞❤️

We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking people to join our amazing team here at The Barrier View Café! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, love meeting people and thrive as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.
✨ Full-Time Front of House
We're looking for someone to join us Monday to Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm until the end of August, then Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm on a permanent basis, with occasional weekend cover when required.
✨ Part-Time Weekend & Holiday Front of House
We're also looking for enthusiastic part-time team members to work weekends and during school holidays. This role would be ideal for students looking to gain valuable work experience, but applications are welcome from anyone who is available during these times.
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly and welcoming.
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Efficient and happy working in a busy environment.
- Reliable with a great work ethic.
- Willing to learn and provide excellent customer service.
Experience is always a bonus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!
