Yesterday marked BeanBlock’s last official engagement - supporting and to raise vital funds by taking to the water in the dragon boat festival.

A big shout out to all of our customers, class providers and volunteers who offered to join me on the river.

We had a great time and we didn’t fall in - so that’s a win!

APPEAL!!! Please help us sell the big stuff! Share with schools/nurseries/cafes anywhere you can think that might be interested!

Our hanging rooves would make great dens - our play area deserves a great home! Our Santas grotto (minus Santa) can be reused elsewhere - please don’t let these get broken down for scrap! 😢

We are absolutely open to offers but need help to sell them to people willing to remove and relocate!

Although we have closed we committed to take part in the Children's Bereavement Centre Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 15th September- and we are still committed to doing this! LAST OPEN DAY SALE!!! Wednesday 21st August!
10am - 2pm

Here are some of the things we still have left! Along with tables and chairs, toys, dressing up, small housewares etc etc!

I’m afraid I won’t be taking preorders as I’ve already had a few people order and not show up! If you have preordered anything please please collect on Wednesday 21st. I’m afraid if you’ve not been by 11am I’m afraid I will open up to sell to anyone wanting.

In preorder atm I have very sought after - tuff trays, toot toot toys, Toy Story cut out etc.

We are having a second open sale day this Saturday 17th August 10am-2pm!

Loads of you have been in touch to say you couldn’t make it on Wednesday!

We’ve got a fair few bits left (only 5 BeanBlock logo mugs! 😜 get them while they’re hot!), Christmas decorations, party bits, stuff for the kitchen so always worth coming to browse! Or even just to say hello!

OPEN SALE!!!!
WEDNESDAY 14th 10am-2pm

So yes all our cupboards are now empty as are our tables and chairs! And everything is for sale (including this lovely antique bureau that has not been as tidy as this in 4 years as I called it my desk!)

Our coffee machine (only 4yrs old) is in really good condition and has a full service history - we are hoping for £3k for it (includes grinder and all the accessories) but reasonable offers accepted.

We have soooo much stuff going from as little as 20p, we even have some favourite stock going at less than cost price (massive container of biscoff spread anyone??!!!)

It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that we are now closed permanently.

We are absolutely devastated that we were unable to give advance warning of this closure so that we could have the chance to say goodbye to you all.

We started our business as a result of our own experiences of isolation in parenting and a lack of places for families to gather. We wanted to grow a sanctuary and community of families that support each other to be resilient and feel seen.

We have been honoured to have watched your babies grow into school aged children - be the first to know you were expecting again and watch your families expand, welcoming tired joyful shell-shocked faces as you enter for the first time with a scrunched up bundle of loveliness not knowing what the clue you were doing - but leave full of caffeine and the knowledge you are not alone!
We’ve seen friendships form and marriages breakdown but through it all we have been there with an open ear and a warm smile.

This closure is heartbreakingly, unexpectedly but unavoidably sudden, due to ongoing unsustainable costs of running an independent business in the current economic climate we find ourselves in.

We thank you for your support and understanding at what is an incredibly difficult time for our BeanBlock families.

Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson.

Tuesday 23rd July at 2pm, tickets include party food plate and drink for your little one. Under 1s attend free but must be accompanied by ticket holder.

And if you let us know your little one is starting bid school in September we can probably introduce you to other families in the same situation. It may not be at your school but they probably have the same excitements and worries to share xx

We have our penultimate Reception Starters Socials this Saturday.

A chance to meet some of the parents and children that will be at the school gate with you on the first day of school.

A chance for you to arrange some play dates in the summer, so you (sorry we meant your little one!) will have some friends they know to play with when school starts in September!

Free Drink for all children.
