Job Title: Front of House Staff
Location: Jiggaz Newbury
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: £28,571 annually
Job Overview:
We are looking for friendly, professional, and reliable Front of House Staff to join our restaurant team. As the face of the restaurant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.
KEY ROLES:
Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcome upon arrival
Seat customers and manage table reservations or waiting lists
Present menus and provide detailed information about food and drink offerings
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen
Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction
Handle customer questions, requests, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, front counter, and service stations
Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer focus
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork skills
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Experience using restaurant POS systems
Ability to upsell menu items and specials
