Day 5/10 Become your own brand photographer.

STOP scrolling through 8,000 photos to find 'the one' 🫣
Today's tip - if you haven't already, create albums for your business photos.
Move relevant images into the albums and pop future ones in there.
You'll be creating your own Business Image Bank and it will save you LOADS of time!

Day 3/10: become your own brand photographer

Blur the background, not the story. 📱

Today's photography tip comes from Liverpool docks!

I spotted this man looking across the water and took this using Portrait mode.

The background is gently blurred, drawing your eye straight to him—but there's still enough detail to give the photo a sense of place.

And Portrait mode isn't just for portraits!

📸 Tools of your trade
📸 Behind-the-scenes details

It's a simple trick that can make your business photos feel instantly more intentional.

🚆 Day 2 of becoming your own brand photographer…

Yesterday we looked at LIGHT. Today, as I’m travelling by train, we’re looking at using your environment to tell the story.

📸 Don’t always fill the frame with your face!

Step back or position yourself to one side so we can see where you are too — your workspace, a coffee shop, an event, a railway station…

These photos give people a glimpse into your world and are great for talking about your day, your work or simply showing more of the person behind the business.

✨ Today’s challenge: Take a selfie that gives us a clue about where you are too!

Becoming your own brand photographer isn’t about perfect photos — it’s about building a bank of useful images that tell your story.
