⛰️SHELTERBOX CHALLENGE 2026 ⛰️

📆 - 18th October

After another fantastic two weeks of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award this summer we are once again raising money for ShelterBox. Last year we smashed our target and raised over £1600! This year our challenge takes us to Englands highest mountain in the hope to raise even more!

Our enthusiastic RYLA candidates are going to scale the heights with their huge and heavy Shelterbox to both raise awareness and raise funds for this incredible Rotary International Charity.

Crosby Rotary joined with over 15 other Rotary clubs last week in raising awareness of the continuing threat of Polio in the world.
Each group was tasked with carrying a torch to Chester by rail and adorning visible local landmarks with the End Polio Now logo. Crosby chose to carry their torch from Hightown station to Hall Rd station and then adorn one of Gormley’s iron men with a red End Polio Now t shirt.

Rotary international launched the first world wide polio vaccination programme in 1985. Working with global partners, World Health Organisation, the Gates Foundation and UNICEF, generations have been immunised and polio is eradicated in all but two countries.

🎅🏼🎄🦌🎅🏼🎄🦌🎅🏼. SANTA ALERT. 🎅🏼🎄🦌🎅🏼🎄🦌🎅🏼

A great big thank you to all the people of Crosby, Waterloo, Thornton and Hightown who donated and came out and waved to Santa on his Float.
Because of your generosity we have raised over £13,000 which will all be going to local Charities and Good Causes.
Also thanks to everyone who volunteered to help with our collections particularly on the rainy nights, without your support we would not be able to bring the Santa Float around.
We wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a Good New Year. 🎅🏼
