💀 MEET OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF STAFF… GEORGE 💀

George has officially joined the Peacos team as our new skeleton butler.

So far he’s taken zero orders, made zero coffees and washed absolutely no pots… but he does stand around looking fabulous, so we’ll let him off. 😂💀

And then there’s Steve ✨🌈💀
Our iridescent, light-up skeleton who has absolutely no intention of doing any work either… he’s purely here for the ✨ vibes ✨.

Between George, Steve and the rest of our skeleton crew, Peacos has had a VERY spooky makeover ready for October! 🎃👻

And while they’re all standing around doing nothing, we’ve been busy making ALL THIS deliciousness! 🤤🍰

Swipe through to see some of the gorgeous treats available this week, plus our coffees, autumn specials, milkshakes, frappés and plenty more. ☕️🍂🧁

Come down, grab yourself something delicious and meet our two most useless new employees. 😂💗💀

💗 Looking to gain hospitality experience? 💗

Since advertising our weekend position a couple of days ago, I’ve had a huge influx of messages from 16 and 17-year-olds who are really keen to work but don’t yet have the hospitality experience I’m looking for for this particular paid role.

It’s actually made me realise that there are probably lots of young people who would love the opportunity to gain some genuine experience that they can add to their CV and hopefully help them when applying for jobs in the future.

Because of this, I’d like to offer some voluntary work experience opportunities at Peacos for anyone who would like to come in, learn and gain experience of working in a busy tea room.

This could include things like greeting and chatting to customers, taking orders to tables, clearing and cleaning tables, washing up, keeping the tea room clean and tidy and generally learning how everything works as part of a team.

It would give you some genuine hospitality experience to add to your CV, as well as giving us the opportunity to get to know you. There could also potentially be opportunities for paid work with us in the future, particularly at weekends, during school holidays or when we need additional cover, although I obviously couldn’t guarantee this.

I know how difficult it can be to get that first bit of experience when so many jobs are asking for previous experience, so I thought this could be a good way of giving some young people the opportunity to get their foot in the door 😊💗

If this is something you’d be interested in, just let me know!

💗 WEEKEND TEAM MEMBER WANTED 💗

We’re looking for a new team member to join us at Peacos for regular weekend work, particularly Saturday work but there maybe scope for Sunday work also.

We’ve had lots of lovely applications already, but we’re particularly looking for someone who is over 18 with previous hospitality experience who is confident working in a busy environment. Barista experience would be a big advantage ☕️

We’re a small, friendly team, so we’re looking for someone who will fit in well with us — outgoing, friendly and chatty, confident speaking to customers and happy working closely with other team members. You’ll need to be reliable, hardworking, able to use your own initiative and willing to get stuck in with all aspects of working in a busy tea room.

This is a regular weekend position, so good weekend availability and reliability are essential.

If you think you’d be a great fit for our team, please send me a message with your CV and a little bit about yourself 😊
