Through cooking and baking I will help them develop confidence in themselves and also in their mathematical and literacy abilities. They will be weighing, measuring liquids, talking about ratios,as well as thinking about costing and budgets in a real life situation, which suddenly makes the Maths they have studied have relevance to them. Creating recipe cards will allow them to use literary techn

iques such as recall, chronological writing and imperatives. I like to think of it as baking with a twist of maths and literacy - EduBake style!
