Here's the introduction I gave at last nights supper club.

The food served is traditional Indian not British Indian. So a brief explanation of the menu is always given, allowing diners to familiarise themselves with the ingredients and different spice levels.

I started hosting supper clubs in 2016. Ten years later and they're still going strong. Our customers and diners love the real taste of India, and depth of flavour we produce here at Chaat Man Indian Deli 🙏

Almond & Cardamom Cookies, rolled in jaggery, naturally gluten-free, seed oil free, and made with 100% whole food ingredients.

These will be served with our Mango & Cardamom Kulfi at tomorrow night's supper club.

On my way to decorate the kitchen, then a deep clean, and then a sold-out supper club this Saturday.

This is definitely not a week off. But I'll feel so much better once the kitchen has been freshened up and the floor has finally been painted.

I also need to purchase a commercial fridge, so another big expense coming up. Residential fridges are okay for a year or two but give up eventually due to the temperature extremes in the unit. There's no heating and no insulation here. So I'm hoping a commercial fridge will last a bit longer.

Yesterday I popped an extra curry on the menu. A lot of people turn their noses up at kidney beans. But until you've tried our Rajma please don't judge, it elevates the humble kidney beans to superstar status and tastes absolutely delicious.

And today I cooked another extra curry, this time Methi Machli, a fish curry (I used haddock fillets) that is on the spicer side and is cooked with lots of onions, fresh fenugreek leaves, chilli flakes, mustard oil, and yoghurt.

I have eight portions of each available in the freezer tomorrow. We're open from midday until 6 pm. Please pop in and discover our huge range of traditional Indian cuisine.
