Tomorrow, Tuesday 18th August, I am celebrating 18 years to the day since I first opened the Cafe's doors 📮

I'm honestly so grateful & appreciative to every single person who has supported me over the years - it means the absolute world to me & I couldn't do it without any of you!
Alot of you I have adopted over the years so thank you for being my bonus family & to the Halty shops that support us too ❤️

A special Thank you to Mattie for helping me run the Cafe & for putting up with me, going along with most of my ideas, for checking my spelling on all my posts 🫣 & for being my number 1 taste tester, to Tobin for never complaining when he has to be at the Cafe (as long as there's food for him!), to my Parents for helping with the deliveries (& the washing!) & everything inbetween, to our 'Auntie Linda' who came with the building & the rest of our amazing staff who I'd be lost without - THANK-YOU!! 🥰

18 YEARS!! It's honestly mental (& very over whelming!) I do wonder how many Milky Coffees, Scones & Lemon Drizzles have been made over the years, how many potatoes have been peeled & dishes washed, how many meals we've delivered, how many laps of the Cafe we've all done & how many times we've washed our hands 😆

In these 18 years we've catered some amazing events (& unfortunately a fair few funerals), delivered meals here, there & everywhere (even delivered scones & cakes to people in Wales before!!), received a double Elite Hygiene award, been featured in newspapers & on Look North, and won best Cafe in not just Northumberland, but in England (all thanks to our customers who voted for us!) 🤩

I do have to say I'm a little proud of myself & my team - it's been worth all the early mornings & late nights 📮

Wow! What a week! Our first week done with our Birthday specials, with another 2 weeks of them to go still

Today's specials went flying - cannot believe how many of you love a BLT & Chips (may have to add BLT to the Cafe menu in the future...) and to keep us so busy, we didn't shut til after 5pm & only shut then as there was nothing left except 1 Scone, half a bottle of milk & some cheese 🤣
