What a weekend! We had the best time stepping back in time to the 1940s and seeing and meeting so many lovely people!
First of all thank you to our amazing volunteers without who none of this would be possible! From set up, parking, running stalls, giving tours, publicity and so much more there is so much that goes on behind the scenes and we cannot thank them enough!
Thank you to the re-enactors, many of whom feel like friends and family now! They spend so much time, energy and resource setting up their fabulous displays and they do it all because they love it and that shines through in all their interactions with the public!
Thank you to the stall holders who spend their time and resources to bring you fabulous shopping!
Thank you to the entertainers, the super talented singers Lancashire Belle and Kyle Evans plus the fantastic 1940s radio crew especially Dave and Nikki and of course to Derek and Linda Herbert our Mr & Mrs Churchill!
Thank you to our tasty food vendors Carrs Pasties and Merly’s Kitchen CIC keeping everyone fed!
Thank you again to the wonderful local businesses and charities who have supported us, in particular Sterling meat company and Bear Repairs!
And thank you of course to all the people who visited, spent time with us, donated and helped make the event a success!
