Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to visit yesterday, and especially the children from Cobham Primary School who were so well behaved and showed genuine interest in our lovely house.
We were privileged to see an extremely rare book, out from storage for just a few hours. Sir Herbert Baker’s own 1926 subscribers edition of Seven Pillars of Wisdom by TE Lawrence, so thank you to the NT conservation team who brought it for us to see.
Don’t forget our next open day is this Sunday, 7th June from 11-4pm. Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us!

Time to open our doors again for our Sunday Open Days! Owletts will be open this Sunday, 10th May, 11am to 4pm. Entry prices for this season have been frozen at £5 adult and £2.50 children, and NEW for this season you will be able to pay by text if you don’t have cash. NT members, of course, are free. We look forward to welcoming new and regular visitors this summer.

Thank you to everyone who visited today. We enjoyed our regular Bird Bath talks, as well as the visiting conservationists who are working their way through the book collection in the library.

We have NEWS!
Our opening dates have been released for this year. We will be opening on selected Sundays and also some Wednesdays to accommodate those who prefer to visit at quieter times. We are also planning to have cleaning and restoration of the collection items taking place for visitors to watch on some of the open days.
We appreciate the dates are somewhat different from before, but this is still experimental, and the team will be welcoming your feedback.

Don’t forget we are open this Sunday 12.30-4pm, free of charge for Heritage Week. Kathy will be there as usual with coffee and cake.
We also have a free talk by Christopher Nield entitled ‘Sir Herbert Baker and the Bank Of England’. The 15 minute talk will take place at the infamous bird bath in the garden at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. All are welcome.
