Long post ⚠️
I’ve been completely overwhelmed this week—in the very best way—by all the kind words, cards, and thoughtful gifts from our wonderful community. It’s only just starting to sink in, and I feel so incredibly privileged to be part of the community we’re in. There’s something really special about our customers that I can’t quite put my finger on… but your loyalty, kindness, and support truly warm my heart every single day.
I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on the journey over the past (almost!) 10 years. From cakes, classes, and cutters… to cakes, coffee, and cutters… and now Bunns. So many of you have been there through it all and so many joining the family on the way - supporting every new idea, cheering us on, and growing with us. That means more than I could ever properly put into words.
I’m endlessly grateful to my mum, who this whole adventure started with at a time when I felt quite lost in life. Things have changed over the years, and while her health means she can’t always be there physically, she’s always there when I need her—and that means everything. And of course, my dad too… always on hand, especially when there are cheese, chilli, and bacon scones needed.
To the incredible team of ladies who make up Bunns—thank you. A special shoutout to Gemma, who keeps everything running so smoothly and is the calm to my occasional chaos—I truly couldn’t do this without you.
Running a small business isn’t always easy, but with such wonderful people around me, it makes it all worthwhile.
We’re hoping to celebrate properly with you all in the summer, when we can make the most of the outside space too—so keep an eye out for that ☀️
