Last wedding of last week, this really is a good example of “less is more “. Cakes don’t have to be overly fussy to create a lovely display, this one is simply elegant with two tiers of white chocolate and raspberry sponge, decorated with ridged buttercream and fresh flowers.
This was a very last minute order but happy to fit in if I can.

I still have one consultation slot for each of these dates:

I’m feeling very humbled today, I have received another lovely message from one of my couples for their wedding cake. This was just a couple of weeks ago and, unlike the majority of my orders, it was collected the day before the wedding. This was possible because the design was a 2-tier and contained silk flowers.

“Hi hun! I just wanted to thank you so much for our beautiful wedding cake, it was even more beautiful than we could of ever imagined and it truly made our day. There was so many compliments about how amazing it was and none was wasted! Thankyou again so much it was perfect and we’re so glad that we chose you to make our perfect cake,
Sending lots of love and thankyou again L & J xx”

I’ve had a very busy week and still one order to go!🤣
As you can see the semi naked wedding cake is still very popular, this one was decorated with a medley of fresh berries.
The weekend saw an order for a rather large Christening cake in buttercream with the latest trend of Lambeth style piping.
My favourite cake of the week has to be this large square 2-tier. It was a 12” lemon and elderflower and a 10” red velvet covered with ivory icing. The bottom tier had a quilting effect with pearl beads and the top tier was fully covered in piped scrolls.
The abundance of fresh flowers on top tea set it off nicely.

Just sharing my latest few wedding orders.
The sage/white 2-tier was actually collected. This is a great option with cupcakes or 2-tier weddings as they can be ready for the day before and it saves you the cost of delivery.
The red/yellow roses are our very own sugar flower creations, with picture guidance from the bride for colour matching, this complete order was over email and ‘phone calls from start to finish. I would have loved to have met this couple but they were not local enough for a consultation so had their cake samples posted out to them. I then delivered to their venue on the day.
As a wedding cake supplier you have to accept that you’re going to have to travel or you just wouldn’t have enough work if you stayed with only local orders. That’s where my audio books in my car come in really handy! 📖
