To give them a true taste of Scottish hospitality, the evening began with a whisky tasting, led by our very own enthusiast, Karen.

Today we’re celebrating the city that’s been our home for over 36 years - from the vibrant colours of Victoria Street in the Old Town to the historic Georgian elegance of Waterloo Place.

As a family‑run business, we feel incredibly privileged to be part of Edinburgh’s heritage. Sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do: crafting seasonal menus inspired by Scotland’s natural larder, working with local suppliers, and keeping our food miles as low as possible.

From wild game and seasonal vegetables to artisan producers across Scotland, supporting local has shaped our kitchens for three and a half decades and remains at the core of who we are.

Here’s to protecting our surroundings, history and community that make Edinburgh so special, today and for the next 36 years to come. 💙

This week, the team brushed up on their knowledge of both Scottish gin and whisky.

First, we visited the amazing Edinburgh Gin Distillery, where Phil, one of their ambassadors, led us on a tour of the distillery and gave us further insight into the fascinating world of gin-making - from their carefully selected botanicals to the beautifully crafted gins they create.

We highly recommend a tour of this amazing distillery, right in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre and just a short walk from our restaurants!

We also enjoyed an in-house whisky tasting session with our very own whisky expert, Karen.

Now the team can’t wait to share their new knowledge with you the next time you visit us.

A standout dish from our new menu: Pan‑seared Peterhead wild cod.

Served with herb‑crushed potatoes, garlic sautĂ©ed kale, baby onions, whipped cod roe and a bright lemon & caper dressing.

We highly recommend pairing it with a glass of The Lane Chardonnay - crisp, fresh and the perfect match.
