🍦👋 We’ve welcomed lots of new followers recently, so we thought it was the perfect time to share a little about who we are and how Archers began.
🌱 Where Did It Begin?
New Moor Farm has been farmed by the Archer family since 1976 and remains proudly run by the family today.
Our first ice cream parlour opened at New Moor Farm in May 2004. At the time, milk prices were incredibly low following the Foot and Mouth crisis, and many farms were forced to close. Creating our ice cream business allowed us to add value to our milk and helped secure the future of our family farm, something we’ll always be grateful for.
🚂 Growing the Archers Family
In 2008, we opened our second Archers Ice Cream Parlour at The Station in Richmond, North Yorkshire, bringing even more people a taste of our farm-made ice cream.
🍨 What’s on the Menu?
From classic favourites like Vanilla and Chocolate, to unique flavours such as Sea Buckthorn and Christmas Pudding, there’s something for everyone. We also serve hot food, including paninis and homemade soup. For special occasions, our ice cream cakes are a particular favourite! Customisable to your favourite flavours.

✨ Recently extended parking
If you’re visiting us at Richmond, there’s always something exciting on at the Station from workshops, events, classes and art exhibitions. Or you may pop in before or after the Easby Loop walk.
