π THIS OCTOBER, WEβRE STANDING TOGETHER. π
DOMESTIC ABUSE AWARENESS MONTH
At The New Pack Horse, we believe a pub should be more than somewhere to have a drink.
It should be somewhere people feel welcome, respected and safe.
Domestic abuse can happen behind closed doors, in relationships, within families and in ways that aren't always visible.
It isn't always physical.
It can be control. Fear. Isolation. Threats. Humiliation. Financial abuse. Monitoring. Coercion.
And sometimes, the person sitting beside you in a pub may be carrying something nobody else can see.
π WE WANT TO HELP CREATE A SAFER COMMUNITY
Our team will continue to promote awareness of domestic abuse and support customers who may need help.
If you are worried about yourself, a friend, a family member or someone you know β don't ignore it.
If you need a safe way to signal that you need help, speak discreetly to a member of our team.
We also support the Ask for Angela initiative. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe while on a night out, you can ask a member of staff for βAngelaβ and our team can help you discreetly.
π¨ If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
π National Domestic Abuse Helpline (Refuge): 0808 2000 247

π You don't have to face it alone.
This October, let's make our community one where people notice, listen, support and speak up.
