About last night!!!! (Sorry, it’s a long one!)
Wow, TebayFest2026 you did not disappoint! What a day & night we had!
A massive thank you to our brilliant artists, Karah Murphy, Raven & Mark and Big Trouble.
Thank you to the Flatbread Trailer and Eden Valley Ices for the food.
And thank you to our brilliant team in the bar who kept everyone refreshed throughout the day.
Behind every event like this is a small group of people who work so, so hard to put these events on. Every single one of them has full time jobs, families and other commitments. They squeeze this in around life - booking artists, ensuring food is on, advertising the events, hoping people will come and enjoy whatever is put on.
But they do it so that our little village can have events to look forward to, on our doorstep, without the need to travel. Things don’t just happen and ultimately they do it for our community.
What you don’t see is the behind the scenes - will people come, will people enjoy, the artist that cancels with less than 48 hours notice leaving us running round trying to find a replacement so you’re not disappointed, the fear that food wont sell, people will be out of pocket, what event will we put on next? Can we all get together one evening in a six week period to make sure we’ve got everything covered, the late night messages of panic about x, y or z.
Tebay Club means different things to people in the community, but at the heart of it is a place where people can come to feel safe and welcome, whether that is to celebrate a life event, mourn the passing of a loved one, as a HQ for races, a search for a missing person, a crisis centre in times of bad weather, no electric, or simply a place to meet for a couple of drinks and to watch the sport…who can forget the World Cup and Euro nights!
We can only keep going because of you. Turning up to our events, paying your membership and coming in to buy a drink or two. If anyone wants to join us, help out, share ideas and just contribute to the Club, shout up. We can’t do it on our own, it’s a community venue because of the community.
And if you’re still reading, THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who supports us in any way at all. We cannot do it without you!
