We may be biased, but there’s nothing quite like the independent hospitality community 👌🏽

It’s a tough gig, but we certainly love it. Behind every independent pub, restaurant and business are people taking a chance, putting in the hours and doing their best to make it work. So when one of our own takes that leap, we’ll always be cheering them on.

If you love independent businesses, please show them some love! Follow them, tell ya mates, book a table, grab a drink and spread the word.

A little notice for this afternoon ❤️

Between 4:00pm and 6:30pm today, our bar area and outside tables will be reserved for a private wake.

The Plough will remain open, and we’ll still be serving drinks as usual in our dining room during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience and really appreciate your understanding while we give the family and their guests some privacy.

Normal service will resume from 6:30pm.

Your August Bank Holiday just called… and now you’ve got plans 👀🍻

Ploughfest is BACK! 🎶 And this year, it’s Tilly’s LAST EVER Ploughfest 😭 So naturally, we forced Tilly into featuring in the Ploughfest promo.

Expect shots, table dancing, 10 live acts, great food and plenty of music.

Yep, you heard that right… Mr Barber is off on his holidays, which means Quiz Night is officially being left in the very capable hands of Owain! 😬

So, expect the usual quiz questions, plenty of laughs and perhaps a little more filth thrown in for good measure! 🤣

Gather your team, brush up on your general knowledge and come prepared for an evening that could get a little… questionable! 👀

Yes, Owain is now officially a wannabe influencer… but he’s realised that going shy doesn’t exactly work when the camera’s rolling 🤣

What he’s trying to tell you is that our Sunday lunch structure has changed! Instead of choosing between 2 or 3 courses, you can now pick and choose exactly what you fancy.

Although, honestly… it’s all insanely delicious, so we obviously recommend going for all three 😉🍽️

Come and enjoy Sunday lunch at The Plough every Sunday. Bring the family, enjoy a proper roast, and let us deal with the washing up. 🙌

WE GOT 5 STARS! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A huge shout-out to our incredible team who worked so hard to make this happen. But today, we’re shining the spotlight on the man who led them there…

Sorry Luke, we know you’ll hate the fuss (and the photo 😅), but it’s time to give you your flowers.

When we took over, we were told that with a building as old as The Plough, getting a 5-star food hygiene rating would be almost impossible. Luke didn’t accept that. Through hard work, determination, attention to detail and genuine pride in what he does, he’s led the kitchen team all the way to the promised land.

This isn’t luck. It’s the result of years of graft, high standards and refusing to settle for anything less than the best.

So here’s to our Owner/ Head Chef, Luke. An absolute legend, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him.

Please give him a well-deserved 👏 in the comments!
