I often think about opening a restaurant that only seats two people.
One table, somewhere like this. A few things cooked over the fire, a bottle of w**e and the whole evening ahead of you.
Obviously, it would have to be outside. So alongside the financial challenge of only having two seats, I’d also be relying on the British weather. A solid business plan all round!
But I keep coming back to it. I love the idea of putting that much care into dinner for just two people. Finding the spot, choosing the ingredients, setting the table. Then leaving them to enjoy it.
For now, I’ll keep carrying tables down to the sea and pray for good weather windows!
